Cayman’s annual Batabano carnival wound its way Saturday along the west coast of Grand Cayman, from Public Beach to George Town, with its usual fanfare of colour, music and costumes.
One of the highlights of this year’s event was a foam cannon, which sprayed masqueraders and onlookers lining West Bay Road with white foam to cool them down.
Feathers, sequins and glitter, and even several stilt walkers, abounded as the carnival parade made its way into the islands’ capital, where the partying continued on the harbourfront into the night.
