In 2004, Allana and her husband Bertie Steuart wanted to raise funds to purchase a refrigerator for a community member in need.

Bertie’s pepper sauce has become a household name in Trinidad and Tobago and is one of the most popular commercial pepper sauces on the market. In spite of the company’s success, it has remained true to the original Bertie’s recipe and maintained its commitment to using only fresh local peppers.

How did we get our start?

We started out as a fund raiser. Everybody loved our pepper sauce and asked for more. Now people can’t get enough. It’s been a happy growth path.

What makes our products unique?

We use fresh peppers from same day delivery.

Why do we love what we do?

Trini’s love spicy food. We made 4 strength levels from mild-no-heat pimento, to insanely hot scorpion pepper. We love making this for our foodie fans. They are are our biggest cheer leaders.
