“If you have not yet replaced your voter’s ID card, you must do so immediately. No elector can be permitted to vote without a valid voter identification card,” he stated.
The Commission, he noted, has extended working hours and increased staffing to facilitate the replacement process, but warned that the responsibility now lies with the public.
Thomas also reminded political parties of their legal obligation to remove campaign materials from polling divisions ahead of election day, stressing that voting spaces must remain neutral and free from undue influence.
With just days remaining before the polls open, the ABEC Chairman urged all eligible voters to prepare, comply with the rules, and participate peacefully in the democratic process.
“Participate responsibly, peacefully and lawfully,” he said, reinforcing the call for a calm and orderly election day across Antigua and Barbuda.
