By Zoila Palma: The 17th annual Anthony Mahler Mundialito Tournament officially kicked off today, marking the start of 12 weeks of youth football action at Berger Field.
Hosted by the Belize Tourism Board, the tournament continues to grow, now featuring 22 teams across three age divisions: U-10, U-13, and U-15.
Opening remarks were delivered by the Interim President of the National Sports Council, the President of the Football Federation of Belize, and Minister of Tourism, Youth, Sports & Diaspora Relations, Anthony Mahler, for whom the tournament is named.
Games will take place every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with families and football fans encouraged to attend and support the country’s rising young talent.
