Saint Luica – The initiative was born from the outreach of Mr. and Mrs. St. Luce to Welfare Officer Michelle Edwide Duplessis and the Vieux Fort welfare team.
Smiles and cheers filled communities across Choiseul, Laborie, and Vieux Fort as the Ministry of Equity, Labour, Gender, Elderly Affairs, Social Justice, and Consumer Welfare proudly acknowledged and praised the Christmas Hamper Initiative, now into its third consecutive year, for bringing hope, dignity, and practical support to the most vulnerable and underprivileged families during the festive season.
The Ministry commends the initiative’s main sponsors, Lincoln and Fenella St. Luce, whose generosity and steadfast commitment have been the driving force behind its continued success. Sincere appreciation is also extended to valued local partners Neil Printing, L&M Scrap Metal, and Young Faith Production for their meaningful contributions and unwavering community support.
Via close collaboration with the Vieux Fort Welfare Unit under the Ministry of Equity, the hampers were carefully and thoughtfully distributed to families most in need, ensuring that assistance reached those who needed it most.
