Five articled clerks with Walkers have been called to the Cayman Islands Bar and have joined the law firm across several practice groups.
The admission of Benjamin Black, Kasie Bowden, Joanna Cameron, Bianca Meghoo and Eli Samson follows the completion of the firm’s articles of clerkship programme, according to a press release from Walkers.
“This is an important milestone for each of our new attorneys and a proud moment for the firm,” Peter Kendall, partner and chair of the firm’s Cayman Islands trainee committee, said in the release.
“Their call to the Bar reflects their dedication and professionalism, and they now join a legacy of over 73 Caymanians who have successfully completed our Legal Training Programme. We’re excited to see the impact they make in their legal careers and beyond.”
The articles of clerkship programme is a “key part” of the firm’s legal training programme, which Walkers calls “a cornerstone of its longstanding commitment to developing homegrown talent and furthering diversity and inclusion in the legal field”.

She then enrolled on the University of Law Graduate Diploma in Law, followed by its Professional Legal Practice Course. Meghoo participated in the 2022 Walkers legal internship, and will be joining the firm’s investment funds group.
