Residents in Grand Cayman felt a tremor caused by a 4.1 magnitude earthquake on Sunday morning.
The quake occurred 46 miles east southeast of East End, at a depth of 6.2 miles, according to the United States Geological Survey.
Hazard Management Cayman Islands confirmed there have been no reports of damage and there is no tsunami threat associated with this event.

The agency added that it was monitoring the situation.
It stated, “We are reminding residents to remain vigilant and prepared as aftershocks can be expected to take place up to a year following a major earthquake such as the one reported on 8 February 2025.
“We thank the many members of our community who phoned in to 911 and reached out to HMCI with their felt reports. Working together will help us to be a more resilient Cayman.”
