On April 19, 2026, the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force announced that Joel Browne had been sentenced to a term of imprisonment at His Majesty’s Prison for firearm and ammunition offences committed on September 25, 2025.
The matter concluded in the High Court in Basseterre, where Browne had previously entered guilty pleas to both charges on February 25, 2026. On April 1, 2026, His Lordship Justice Patrick Thompson Jr. imposed a sentence of eight years for the firearm offence and two years for the ammunition charge.
The Court ordered that both sentences run concurrently.
