
On Friday, September 12, Acting Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Irving McIntyre held a discussion with His Excellency Simon Mustard, the British High Commissioner to the Commonwealth of Dominica, at the Prime Minister’s Office.
Prior to this engagement, His Excellency delivered his Letter of Credence to Her Excellency Sylvanie Burton, the President of Dominica.
The bilateral meeting focused on reaffirming the dedication of both nations to deepening collaboration and exploring shared interests across various sectors.
Taking up his post as British High Commissioner to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean in May 2025, his biography states that Mustard’s career spans at least two decades of “operational and leadership roles in policy, crisis, corporate and consular work.”
Most recently, his posts included Special Envoy to Africa’s Great Lakes region and British High Commissioner to Sierra Leone. He currently resides in Barbados.
