Seeking to fulfil its commitment to enhance the healthcare system in Jamaica, AdventHealth and Andrews Memorial Hospital are to formally hand over 70 fully functioning patient beds at an estimated cost of J$27.7 million to the Ministry of Health & Wellness today.
It will be the second donation of hospital beds to the health ministry by the two Seventh-day Adventist healthcare institutions, in collaboration with the GSI Foundation, the charitable arm of the Adventist Church in Jamaica and the coordinating body for importing the beds into the country.
Donmayne Gyles, president and CEO of Andrews Memorial Hospital, emphasised the significance of supporting Jamaica’s healthcare system.
“Together, as an Adventist Church community, we are committed to supporting the Ministry of Health and Wellness in any way we can to strengthen Jamaica’s healthcare infrastructure,” he said.
