Travellers are being encourage to arrive three hours ahead of their flight departure times over the busy Easter break.
“Due to increased travel volumes, we strongly encourage all passengers to arrive at least three hours prior to departure,” the Cayman Islands Airport Authority (CIAA) said. “This helps ensure you have enough time to check in, clear security, and board your flight stress-free.”
All passengers departing through Owen Roberts and Charles Kirkconnell airports, whether on domestic or international flights, must pass through passenger and cabin baggage security screening before entering the departure hall.
Owen Roberts Airport is currently at its peak travel season, with the busiest times being between 10am and 2pm, so passengers are being told to expect longer wait times during these hours.
