Jamaican entertainment publicist Rickardo W. Shuzzr said on Sunday, June 22, Alkaline, the renowned Jamaican dancehall artist, delivered “a mesmerizing performance” at the sold-out Rebel Night Club in Toronto, Canada, captivating over 4,500 fans.
“With anticipation building since New Rules’ debut in April at the Wembley Arena, with over 12,000 fans witnessing, Toronto was in full energy for a great experience,” Shuzzr, of Shuzzr PR, told Caribbean Life. “The energy in the venue was electric as devoted fans flocked to see their favorite artists.
“The club’s full capacity left many disappointed, with hundreds unable to gain entry, a testament to the overwhelming demand for Alkaline’s performance,” Shuzzr continued. “The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as attendees eagerly awaited Alkaline’s entrance, their excitement filling the air.”
As he finally took the stage, Shuzzr said, “The cheers erupted, and the night transformed into a colorful explosion of sound and movement.”
He said Alkaline’s high-energy set had “fans on their feet, showcasing not only his infectious charisma but also his dynamic stage presence that kept the audience engaged throughout the performance.”
With each song Alkaline belted, the connection between him and his fans deepened, “as they sang along to his greatest hits,” Shuzzr said.
He said Alkaline performed for over an hour, “delivering a relentless string of fan favorites that mesmerized everyone.”
But Shuzzer said the night was not just about music; “it was an experience woven together with rhythm, passion, and camaraderie between the artist and his devoted followers.”

Shuzzer said Alkaline released a “poignant new single” titled “Heart Scars” in collaboration with Sponge Music just days before the performance.
“This emotionally resonant track pays tribute to loved ones he has lost and has quickly garnered substantial attention, amassing over 200,000 views on YouTube since its release,” Shuzzr said.
“The song’s heartfelt lyrics and moving melody align perfectly with Alkaline’s artistry, further deepening his connection with fans,” he added.
With about 15 days remaining before the highly anticipated Jamaica leg of New Rules, slated to take place at the Trelawny Stadium, Shuzzer said Alkaline’s “captivating performance in Canada has set an exciting precedent for what fans can expect.”
He said the groundwork has been laid for “an unforgettable show on July 5, 2025, that promises to elevate the tour experience to new heights.”
