By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Tne 2025 Holy Saturday Cross Country Cycling Classic race dynamics have shifted once again as American Alfredo Bueno of Legion of Los Angeles and Colombian Pablo Abreo have powered ahead, opening a decisive gap at this stage of the Holy Saturday Cross Country Cycling Classic passing through Roaring Creek.
At first, Hollis Baptist of A. Mahler Digi Alliance was with them, working hard to stay in the lead group. But the sheer strength and determination of Bueno and Abreo proved too much, as they pulled away, leaving Baptist behind.
Behind them, a 35-man peloton is furiously working to chase down the leaders, knowing that if they allow Bueno and Abreo to extend their advantage much further, catching them before Belize City could become an impossible task.
Further back, another group of riders is struggling to stay in contention, with several beginning to fall by the wayside as the punishing pace and distance take their toll. With the race heating up, all eyes are on the leaders—will they maintain their advantage, or will the charging peloton bring them back into the fold?
The next miles will be crucial as riders position themselves for the battle ahead.
