An Antiguan has been named among twelve oral presentation winners at the second annual One UWI Postgraduate Student Conference. Spencer, who studies at The UWI Cave Hill Campus Faculty of Science and Technology, impressed judges with her exceptional research presentation during the three-day academic event.
Shamika Spencer was one of five students from the Cave Hill Campus to receive this recognition. Her fellow Cave Hill winners included Judy-Ann Auld and Ta’Neil James from Humanities and Education, Raphica Scott from Medical Sciences, and Justin Carter representing Social Sciences.
The conference, which ran from November 20th to 22nd last year under the theme “Collaborative Horizons: Interdisciplinary Visions for Caribbean and Global Progress,” also recognized seven winners from the St. Augustine Campus across various faculties.
All winners received electronic gift vouchers on March 28th, recognizing their academic rigor and contributions to advancing knowledge in key focus areas.
The third postgraduate student conference is scheduled for November 12th to 15th, 2025.
