As part of its compliance strategy for 2025, the Inland Revenue Division (IRD) of the Ministry of Finance urges individuals and businesses in the beauty and wellness industry to register their enterprises to obtain a Tax Identification Number (TIN).
This registration must be done within the next 30 days from the date of this announcement.
This applies to, but is not limited to, the following professions: hairdressers, barbers, pedicurists, manicurists, nail technicians, tattoo artists, spa operators, cosmetologists, makeup artists, and masseuses.
This registration requirement is in accordance with the laws governing business operations and taxation in Grenada. It is a critical step in ensuring compliance and legitimacy within the sector.
Failure to register with the Inland Revenue Division within the 30-day window will result in a penalty of EC$2,500.00, in accordance with Section 77 of the Tax Administration Act of 2016.
The Inland Revenue Division is committed to working with all professionals and entrepreneurs to promote formalisation and business growth within a fair and regulated framework.
