Police and fire officers found a dead body inside a vehicle on fire in an open lot in Bodden Town Thursday afternoon.
The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service said they and other emergency services responded to a report of a vehicle fire at 2:10pm.
On arrival at the scene at Lookout Gardens, police said, they observed a body, with no sign of life, inside the vehicle.
“It was confirmed that the individual inside the vehicle was deceased. The identity of the deceased individual has not yet been established,” police said.
The fire was extinguished and a cordon has been established while officers carry out their investigation.
