A BODY has been found during the frantic search for a missing man who vanished from a Scots town last week.
Thom Kane, 56, was last seen in the Eldon Street area of Greenock around 7.30am on Thursday, April 24.
Officers believed he may have travelled to the Fort William area in a silver Volvo V60 Cross Country.
Sadly, a body was found in the Atholl Road area of Pitlochry, Perthshire, yesterday afternoon at around 1.10pm.
Formal identification has not been carried out but Thom’s family has been informed.
Cops said there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a body having been found in the Atholl Road area of Pitlochry, around 1.10pm on Sunday, 27 April, 2025.
“Formal identification has still to take place however the family of Thom Kane, who was reported missing from Greenock, has been informed.
“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
