The Transport Board resumed operations from the Oistins Sub-Terminal earlier this evening following a crude oil spill in Oistins, Christ Church, this morning, and the completion of subsequent clean-up efforts
All buses returned to their regular routes, and commuters may now embark or disembark at the Oistins Sub-Terminal.
During the day, there were several diversions on most of the major routes which either originate from or end at the terminal, as well as those which pass through the area as the section of the road was closed from the bottom of Oistins Hill at the junction with the gas station to the Y-junction with Thornbury Hill and Pegwell.
Several agencies were mobilised to clean up the crude oil, which did not contaminate the sea.
The Ministry of Transport and Works and the Transport Board thanked commuters for their patience and cooperation during this time. (PR/SAT)
