BVI News understands that a man was fatally shot in the Purcell Estate area early this morning. This brings the BVI’s murder toll to four since the start of the year.
The victim’s identity has not been released, and the circumstances surrounding his death are unknown.
Police confirmed that officers were dispatched to the scene shortly after 7 a.m. and are actively carrying out investigations. The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force said additional details will be released as they become available.
The latest killing comes amid growing concern about gun-related crimes in the territory, with residents increasingly worried about public safety and the apparent rise in violent incidents.
