By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Caesar Ridge booked their place in the Belize District Football Association First Division Closing Championship Final after overcoming Reggae Boyz 5-4 in penalties following a 2-2 draw in extra time on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the Marion Jones Sports Complex in Belize City.

Reggae Boyz seized an early advantage in the 10th minute when Ryan Simpson found the net, but Caesar Ridge responded swiftly, with Francis Arana equalizing in the 22nd. Both teams battled intensely for control, yet neither could break the deadlock before full time, sending the match into extra time. Arana stepped up again in the 94th minute, firing Caesar Ridge into the lead, but just as victory seemed within reach, Kiefer Perteau struck in the 111th minute, restoring parity and forcing a decisive penalty shootout.
In the shootout, Caesar Ridge converted five spot-kicks, with Devin McCauley, Barack Morey, Kenyon Pratt, Jacob Joseph, and Kenan Zuniga all finding the net. Lawnie Leslie missed his attempt, hitting the crossbar.
For Reggae Boyz, Ryan Simpson, Albert Davis, Jaheem Thomas, and Dejean Thompson scored, but Dion Cacho and Isani Napata failed to convert, the latter hitting the left post.
Caesar Ridge now advance to the final, where they will meet Tut Bay, who defeated Kelly St. Bombers 1-0 in the other semifinal.
