
On Sunday, July 6, 2025, Mr. Justice Winston Anderson will be officially inaugurated as the fourth President of the Caribbean Court of Justice.
A CCJ media statement shared that the ceremony will take place during the 49th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) in Montego Bay, Jamaica. His Excellency, Sir Patrick Allen, the Governor-General of Jamaica, will administer the oath of office to Justice Anderson.
The event will include speeches from several prominent leaders, including Sir Patrick Allen; Dr. Andrew Holness, Prime Minister of Jamaica. Additionally, Chair of the 49th CARICOM Meeting; Prime Minister John Briceño of Belize, who serves as the Lead Head of Government for Justice and Governance; CARICOM Secretary-General Dr. Carla Barnett; and outgoing CCJ President, Justice Adrian Saunders will address the gathering.
