The all-inclusive Ambergris Cay private island resort in the Turks and Caicos Islands, has been added to the Virtuoso portfolio, becoming the second private island resort and ninth overall property in the country to join the international network.
Virtuoso is a global consortium of more than 2,300 luxury travel providers in 100 countries. The inclusion of Ambergris Cay connects the resort with a network of over 20,000 travel advisors specializing in high-end travel.
“The Turks and Caicos Islands is firmly established as a Virtuoso Destination, and we are pleased to welcome Ambergris Cay to this prestigious network,” said Paul Pennicook, Interim CEO/Consultant at Experience Turks and Caicos. “Virtuoso provides access to over 20,000 of the world’s leading luxury travel advisors, enabling us to showcase the unique and enriching experiences of the Turks and Caicos Islands to an affluent travel audience globally.”
Ambergris Cay now appears alongside several other Turks and Caicos resorts within the Virtuoso network, including Amanyara, COMO Parrot Cay, Beach Enclave, Grace Bay Club, The Palms, The Shore Club, The Ritz-Carlton, and Wymara Resort and Villas.

The resort is operated by Waterloo Hotel Management Limited (WHML), which manages a group of five properties in the region. “It is a true honour to be recognised as a preferred partner of Virtuoso,” said Andreas Naegele, Vice President of Hospitality at WHML, in a statement provided to Caribbean Journal.
“This achievement reflects our unwavering commitment to exceptional service and elevated hospitality. We look forward to collaborating with Virtuoso advisors to introduce their clients to our signature bespoke luxury and nature-forward experiences,” he said.
The hope is for the Virtuoso affiliation is to expand Ambergris Cay’s reach among international travel advisors and support broader visibility for Turks and Caicos in the global luxury travel sector.
The resort recently got a boost with the launch of American Airlines’ new flights to South Caicos, opening up another way for travelers to reach the island (Ambergris Cay’s private planes will pick you up in South Caicos and fly you to the island, which is home to its very own international airport).
We recently stayed at the all-inclusive resort and were blown away by the quality. We can safely say that it’s not just a top-level Turks and Caicos resort — it’s one of the best luxury resorts in the whole Caribbean.
