This weekend, Catholics in the Diocese of Roseau, Dominica, are being invited to participate in a National Day of Reconciliation through a 24-hour vigil held in every Catholic church. According to a press release from the Diocese of Roseau, the vigil is scheduled from 6 AM on Friday, March 28, to 6 AM on Saturday, March 29, under the theme “You are Our Hope.”
The event aims to inspire individuals to take part in acts of repentance, reconciliation, prayer, and fasting. This observance coincides with a Jubilee year being celebrated by the Diocese and the global Church, which carries the theme “Pilgrims of Hope.”
During the vigil, all parish churches across the Diocese of Roseau will focus on themes of repentance and reconciliation through various activities, including prayer, praise and worship, Eucharistic adoration, confession, and outreach to the sick and those in need.
