Organized by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA), this prominent regional event brings together tourism industry professionals, including suppliers, buyers, and leaders, to foster business collaborations and promote destinations across the Caribbean.
A DDA release shared that the Dominican delegation will be headed by Marva Williams, the Chief Executive Officer of Discover Dominica Authority and Director of Tourism. The team also comprises Andia Ravariere, Destination Marketing Manager; Monelle Alexis, Communications and Public Relations Specialist; Cyrillia Alexis, Marketing Assistant; and representatives from Zapwater Public Relations based in the United States and Canada. The Authority asserts that Dominica’s involvement highlights the island’s dedication to growing its tourism sector and showcasing its distinctive attractions, which include eco-tourism, adventure activities, wellness retreats, and cultural traditions. It also said that the Caribbean Travel Marketplace offers an excellent opportunity for the organization to engage with key stakeholders, explore new business avenues, and reinforce existing partnerships.
“Participating in the Caribbean Travel Marketplace is a strategic move to solidify our reputation as a leading sustainable tourism destination. We look forward to connecting with regional and international partners to highlight the island’s natural beauty, authentic experiences, and dedication to responsible tourism that benefits visitors and local communities alike,” stated Marva Williams, CEO of Discover Dominica Authority and Director of Tourism.
This year’s event will feature notable activities such as Responsible Tourism Day, the Caribbean Travel Forum, press conferences, and the inaugural Direct Booking Summit, Caribbean Edition, all focused on promoting sustainable tourism initiatives and innovation across the region.
