The Rotary Club of Grenada is honoured to welcome District Governor Soraya Gustave-Warner of Rotary District 7030 as the official guest for the opening ceremony of Christmas at the Point (CaTP), taking place on Sunday, 30 November 2025, at Quarantine Point Recreational Park.
Governor Soraya, a dynamic and inspiring leader in Rotary International, is no stranger to impactful service. A Rotarian of over a decade, she has steadily risen through the ranks, serving as Assistant Governor, District Trainer, and on numerous strategic committees before being elected to lead one of Rotary International’s most vibrant districts. District 7030 spans 17 countries and territories across the Caribbean and South America, making it one of Rotary International’s most culturally rich and diverse regions.
While on her official club visit to Grenada, the Governor purposefully aligned her schedule to be present at CaTP’s opening, underscoring the significance of this annual Rotary Club of Grenada project, which has lit up the Christmas season since 2009. More than a festival, CaTP embodies the Rotary Club of Grenada’s commitment to family, community, economic development, and environmental stewardship, all within a safe and joyful public space at Quarantine Point.
This year’s CaTP also affirms the Rotary Club of Grenada’s continued focus on regional solidarity. Following last year’s support for Carriacou and Petite Martinique after Hurricane Beryl, this year Rotary’s efforts are directed towards Hurricane Melissa relief in Jamaica. Governor Soraya’s visit reinforces the importance of compassion-driven action across the Caribbean, where resilience and community are tightly woven.
“District Governor Soraya’s presence at the opening of Christmas at the Point is a testament to the value the Rotary Club of Grenada places on sustainable community impact,” said Club President Julia G Lawrence. “Her support for this event and for Quarantine Point as a legacy Rotary Club of Grenada project affirms that service can be festive, inclusive, and impactful.”
Christmas at the Point runs Wednesdays to Sundays weekly from 30 November 2025 to 4 January 2026, featuring live music, outdoor movies, the Holiday Boutique for local artisans, a Christmas Grotto for children, food and drinks, and more, all under the stars at one of Grenada’s most scenic public parks.
