The Dominica Dialysis Association held its much-anticipated raffle draw event this week, with prizes sponsored by several local and regional partners. The draw, which experienced a brief delay due to unforeseen circumstances, was conducted by Vice President Hamon Guiste, accompanied by Treasurer WPC Guiste of the Dominica Police Force’s community policing department.
The first prize in the raffle was awarded to Leah Laura of Bellevue Chopin. Sponsored by Fort Young Hotel, the prize includes a whale-watching experience for two. The second prize, a blender sponsored by benefactors from St. Thomas, was won by Nadisha Guavo. The third prize, a pressure monitor to help maintain optimal health, was sponsored by Jolly’s Pharmacy and awarded to Anna Fontaine of Grand Bay. Additionally, a bonus prize—a night for two at Peti Pawadi in the Roseau Valley—was drawn and presented to the final un-named winner.
Vice President Guiste extended congratulations to all winners and expressed gratitude to the sponsors: Fort Young Hotel, Jolly’s Pharmacy, Peti Pawadi, and benefactors from St. Thomas. He also acknowledged the support of participants and encouraged continued awareness around kidney health.
The Dominica Dialysis Association continues its mission to promote wellness and support individuals affected by kidney-related conditions.
