The 2025 Dominica Music Awards have been postponed. This is according to a statement by organizer Leroy ” Wadix” Charles.
A new date has not been announced, however, Wadix assured the public that the postponement is due to plans underway for the event’s expansion, referring to what he says are active negotiations between his Creole Heartbeat productions, the Government of Dominica, and “international stakeholders.”
Wadix has promised a bigger production that will include honoring Dominican musical veterans such as Ophelia Marie and Gordon Henderson.
The cultural ambassador also urged input from listeners and music lovers in the thrust to take Dominican music to the “global stage”.
