Dominica’s nature resort, Jungle Bay, has received the esteemed title of Caribbean’s Leading Retreat 2025 at the World Travel Awards (WTA) Caribbean & North America Gala Ceremony, which took place in St. Lucia over the weekend.
Located on approximately 20 acres of lush terrain overlooking the Soufrière-Scotts Head Marine Reserve, Jungle Bay is billed as eco-luxury, wellness, and community-driven tourism. Though offering 89 accommodations with luxurious amenities including ‘adventure, spa pampering, wellness, Yoga, gourmet cuisine, local culture and history,” as a highlight, the group also prides itself on “sustainable design with community participation.” It also reportedly employs local staff and serves produce from its own gardens.
A media statement from the company quoted General Manager, Marie Hubbard, as saying, “We are thrilled to receive this recognition, which is a testament to our team’s dedication to providing an exceptional guest experience.”
The team also wrote that Hubbard’s statement reflects the resort’s commitment to delivering high-quality services and facilities that meet the evolving needs of “travelers seeking both rejuvenation and discovery.”

The accolade, for management, signifies a nod from the industry that Jungle Bay’s reputation as a leader in the region’s wellness and retreat scene continues to grow.
‘This recognition is a tremendous honor for our team and for Dominica,” said Samuel “Sam” Raphael, President and Owner of Jungle Bay, who congratulated Dominica on being named the Caribbean’s Leading Nature Destination at the Awards.
“Jungle Bay was created to be more than a resort — it’s a sanctuary where nature, community and culture intersect. Winning this award affirms that our vision of sustainable luxury and purpose-driven hospitality continues to resonate with travelers and industry leaders alike.”
