By Horace Palacio: Belize is on track for another hot, dry, and sunny Sunday, with little to no rain in the forecast. A moderate to fresh easterly-southeasterly airflow continues to keep the atmosphere stable, ensuring fair skies and plenty of sunshine throughout the day.
Temperatures will once again be on the higher end, especially inland where daytime highs will climb to 94°F (34°C). Coastal areas will remain more comfortable, but still warm, reaching 87°F (31°C). Overnight temperatures are forecast to settle in the 70s for most areas, providing a bit of relief from the day’s heat.
Marine conditions remain a bit rough. Small craft caution is in effect due to gusty winds and waves between 4 and 7 feet, especially beyond the reef. Mariners are encouraged to plan cautiously.
As we head into Monday, expect a continuation of this warm pattern, though a slight chance of thunderstorms may develop over higher terrain in the afternoon.
