The Grenada Hotel and Tourism Association (GHTA) proudly announces its successful participation in the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) Marketplace 43, held recently in Antigua.
This premier event, recognised as the largest tradeshow in the Caribbean, brought together hundreds of buyers and suppliers from the tourism industry, showcasing the region’s vibrant tourism offerings.
The GHTA was honoured to collaborate with the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) and the Minister of Tourism Hon. Adrian Thomas in promoting Grenada as a premier travel destination. The collaboration underscored the commitment of Grenada’s tourism stakeholders to enhance the country’s visibility and attract diverse markets.
The CHTA Marketplace 43 featured a dynamic Caribbean Travel Forum, which provided invaluable market intelligence from renowned organisations such as Forward Keys, Tourism Economics, and Mastercard. Participants gained insights into current trends and future forecasts that will shape the Caribbean tourism landscape. Additionally, the inaugural Direct Booking Summit took place, focusing on strategies to encourage direct bookings and enhance revenue for Caribbean hospitality providers.
“We are thrilled with the outcomes of CHTA Marketplace 43,” said Arlene Friday, CEO of the GHTA. “The event was an excellent platform for networking, sharing innovative ideas, and discussing the future of tourism in the Caribbean. The collaboration with the Grenada Tourism Authority and the Minister of Tourism was instrumental in presenting a united front for Grenada.”
The GHTA showcased a variety of Grenadian hotels and tourism offerings, attracting significant interest from international buyers. This exposure not only highlights Grenada as a must-visit destination but also reinforces the importance of collaborative efforts within the tourism sector.
The GHTA remains committed to fostering partnerships that drive sustainable growth in Grenada’s tourism industry. As the world emerges from the pandemic, the association is dedicated to revitalising the sector and ensuring that Grenada remains a top choice for travellers seeking unique and enriching experiences.
