By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The last Belizean to win the Holy Saturday Cross Country Cycling Classic, which started back in 1928, is Oscar Quiroz, two years ago in 2023. Last year, Honduran Luis López, the first ever Honduran known to compete in Belize’s most traditional cycling race, won the event. The best Belizean was Carlton Robinson, who finished in fourth position.

Is a Belizean going to win this year? Here’s the list of all winners since 1928.
