A PLASTIC surgery fan has admitted to splashing £76,000 on procedures.
But while Cat Nguyen is happy with her “plastic fantastic” look and has transformed herself into what she calls a “gothic Barbie,” not everyone has been complimentary, including her parents.
Revealing all to Truly on an episode of Hooked On The Look, the glamour model confessed that not only do trolls call her “disgusting,” but her family refuse to be seen with her in public.
The influencer, who is from California, has confessed to spending over $100,000 [£75,995] on modifying her body and embarked on her plastic surgery journey at the age of just 19.
She claimed: “I got my first breast augmentation because I was working for a little coffee shop and I had a boss and she said if I got my boobs bigger, she would double my pay rate.”
Since then, Cat has had a total of six breast augmentations and five butt augmentations, as well as liposuction in her thighs, hips, stomach, chin and arms.

RISK ROUTINE
I had my first BBL at 17 and almost died but I can’t stop – I’ve spent £22k
But her “fake” look, which haters “love to talk about”, has caused a lot of backlash online.
Cat recognised that trolls criticise her as “disgusting,” and say she “looks awful.”
As well as this, Cat admitted that people assume she is “not intelligent” and will “go after men” because of the way she looks.
However, Cat isn’t bothered by what keyboard warriors think, as she slammed: “I feel like people who send hateful comments like that, it’s because they’re jealous and are miserable in their own lives and have nothing better to do but troll people.”
Not only does Cat spark a strong reaction from those online, but it’s the same in public too.
She shared: “The reaction I get from people when I go out is head-turning, neck-breaking, eye-rolling, jaw-dropping.
“Sometimes it’s a lot, sometimes I wanna be incognito and low-key, and I get cat-called on the street and guys are coming up to me and asking for my number, it’s very uncomfortable.”
Discussing her parents’ stance on her surgeries, she acknowledged: “My family hates my plastic surgery. They don’t want anything to do with it. They don’t want to be seen with me in public looking like this.”
Growing up in a conservative household, Cat felt like her “strict” parents “had full control over her life,” but then, when she went to college, she was able to “spread my wings and wild out.”
I look fake on the outside, I’m not fake on the inside, I’m actually real, genuine and I’m really intelligent
Cat Nguyen
Although Cat is now happy with her look, she confessed to feeling like a “black sheep” in her family and hopes that her loved ones will accept and support her one day.
Meanwhile, reflecting on judgement from strangers, Cat explained: “Besides my obnoxious looks, I want people to know the real me – just because I look fake on the outside, I’m not fake on the inside, I’m actually real, genuine and I’m really intelligent.”
What are the risks of getting surgery abroad?
IT’S important to do your research if you’re thinking about having cosmetic surgery abroad.
It can cost less than in the UK, but you need to weigh up potential savings against the potential risks.
Safety standards in different countries may not be as high.
No surgery is risk-free. Complications can happen after surgery in the UK or abroad.
If you have complications after an operation in the UK, the surgeon is responsible for providing follow-up treatment.
Overseas clinics may not provide follow-up treatment, or they may not provide it to the same standard as in the UK.
Also, they may not have a healthcare professional in the UK you can visit if you have any problems.
