A brace from striker Kion Jackson propelled Urlings FC to a comfortable two-nil triumph over former top flight champions Liberta Blackhawks when they met in the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA) Second Division on Monday.
Playing at home, Jackson struck in minutes 49 and 81, netting on either sides of the interval to secure three points for his team.
There was victory as well for Real Blizzard as they beat North Coast Academy Juniors 1-0. A second half strike from Taharie James was enough to lift Blizzard to the welcomed triumph.
Also on Monday, Sea View Farm and CPTSA Wings played to a 2-2 draw when they met at Sea View Farm.
Former national player, Karanja Mack opened the scoring for Wings when he struck in the fourth minute of play but an eighth minute goal from Justin Hilaire drew the home team level. Sea View Farm would take the lead just before the interval when Jayden Browne netted in the 40th to put them 2-1 up.
A 55th minute conversion from Wings’ Travis Austin would once again even things out between the two teams as they both walked away with one point each.
In the other Second Division match contested Monday, Fort Road defeated Herberts United 2-1. The names of goals scorers in the match were not readily available.
