By Aaron Humes: 37-year-old Nelson Henry, originally of Belize City, met his end in Ladyville this afternoon before a stunned gathering.
According to police, Henry and his common-law wife were at the corner of Yellow Tail and Cocorico Streets in the village just after midday when two men on a motorcycle approached them. The passenger started to fire shots at Nelson Henry, who ran down Yellow Tail Street and fell down. The gunfire continued until Henry lay dead. Witnesses reported that after killing Henry, the gunmen sped off on a dirt bike down Crabcatcher Street and then Scissorstail Street.

Police suspect that the daylight shooting of Nelson Henry in Ladyville may be gang-related, though they have yet to confirm any connection to the earlier murder of Aaron Lindo in Double Head Cabbage or the shooting of Jimmy Rojas in Belize City.
Henry had previously walked free from a 2018 murder trial due to lack of evidence.
