A performer from the local entertainment industry has been brought before the court on serious sexual offense allegations dating back to December 2024.
The individual, whose identity remains protected by law pending conviction, made an appearance before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel this week to address charges of indecent assault and serious indecency.
These charges stem from allegations made by a young adult woman regarding an incident allegedly occurring on December 23, 2024.
During proceedings, the court granted conditional release on $9,000 bail, requiring a $3,000 cash deposit.
The magistrate imposed several strict conditions, including mandatory reporting to police three times weekly and the surrender of all travel documents.
Additional restrictions prohibit the accused from any form of contact with the complainant, maintaining a minimum distance of 5 feet from her at all times.
Despite the complainant being over the age of consent, the court also ordered the defendant to avoid all interaction with minors.
The case will advance to a committal hearing scheduled for May 12, when the court will evaluate whether sufficient evidence exists to move forward with a trial.
