Kevon Small has been found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving in connection with a fatal incident that claimed the life of 50-year-old Colin Anderson Joseph.
A jury determined that Small, who was 34 at the time, struck Joseph with his vehicle at the intersection of Market and New Street on the night of September 1, 2021.
Following the collision, Joseph was transported to Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre with critical injuries, including a skull fracture and trauma to his left leg.
Despite medical intervention, doctors determined he had suffered irreversible brain damage after tests showed no brain activity.
Though initially supported by a ventilator, Joseph ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
More details will be provided in the 5:30pm edition of the Big Stories and tomorrow’s Daily Observer.
