A local man will spend the next year and a half behind bars after being convicted on firearm charges in the St. John’s Magistrates Court.
Ed Archibald was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment for unlawful possession of a firearm and six months for unlawful possession of ammunition when he appeared before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel.
The sentences will run concurrently, according to information released by the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda.
Authorities continue to urge citizens with information about illegal firearms or other criminal activities to come forward.
