By Zoila Palma: Following Thursday’s meeting at the OAS Adjacency zone Office, Minister of Foreign Affairs Francis Fonseca and Carlos Ramiro Martínez, Foreign Minister of Guatemala, met bilaterally.
Both Ministers reaffirmed that Belize and Guatemala continue to enjoy excellent relations at the political level, while both countries work to strengthen cooperation at all levels.
The Ministers also highlighted their commitment to deepen bilateral relations, building on the Placencia Accords and Confidence-Building Measures to maintain cooperation, communication, stability, and peace along our western frontier.
