By Zoila Palma: Miss World Belize 2025, Shayari Morataya, proudly showcased a marine-themed national costume during the official opening of the 72nd Miss World pageant held over the weekend in Hyderabad, India.
The 23-year-old Belize City native wore a vivid blue gown designed by Camille Wade, featuring hand-painted coral and marine life motifs inspired by the Belize Barrier Reef.
The look was completed with sea turtle earrings by Sol Clay Jewelry, symbolizing the country’s commitment to marine conservation.
Morataya joined 107 other delegates in a dazzling cultural presentation as contestants took the stage in their national costumes, grouped by continent.
She will next compete in a series of events leading up to the grand finale on May 31, where the Top 40 will be selected.
