The newly appointed Minister of State within the Ministry of Housing and Works has revealed that reconstruction work on All Saints Road will begin in the final quarter of this year.
Senator Clement Antonio made the disclosure following his swearing-in ceremony at Government House yesterday, which was officiated by the Governor General’s Deputy Sir Clare Roberts.
“The All Saints Road has taken a lot of design intervention, and we have been looking at this and we have set a timeframe for the last quarter of the year,” Senator Antonio told reporters following the ceremony.

The new minister of state acknowledged that while much of the nation’s main arteries have been repaired to some degree, All Saints Road remains untouched despite being one of the major transportation routes.
“We’re engaging different contractors, and the public will be informed as to the rollout of the reconstruction of All Saints Road,” he added.
Antonio was appointed to the Senate following the 2023 general election.
The new minister has risen through the ranks of the ABLP government by serving in positions of Deputy Town and Country Planner at the Development Control Authority and Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Works.
“Starting as Deputy Town and Country Planner at the Development Control Authority would have really impacted my way forward, especially with the engagement with the general public … it has really given me, equipped me to deal with a lot of the issues that we’re facing now,” Antonio said.
The minister will continue to work directly under Minister of Housing and Works Maria Browne.
