The Marketing and Public Relations Manager at the National Parks, Rivers and Beaches Authority (NPRB), and the Nine Nights of Lights Christmas festival, Twanique Barrow, is urging the public to visit the nights of activities, now on-going at the Botanic Gardens.
The festival started in 2015 when the Botanic Gardens, the oldest in the Western Hemisphere, was celebrating its 250th anniversary.
There were year-long celebrations, and to round off the calendar of activities the Gardens were decorated with lights; this has continued since.
The Nine Nights of Lights forms part of the overall Nine Mornings festivities and is billed as a family friendly affair. “The goal was not only about creating a light show but we wanted to create an additional vibrant night time attraction in the Garden where locals and visitors could experience the culture of St Vincent and the Grenadines,” Barrow told SEARCHLIGHT in an interview on Thursday, December, 18 2025.
