By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Team PACT on TRAK — Amado Cruz, Enrique Cruz, and Cristian Lopez — strengthened their bid for the 2026 Belikin La Ruta Maya Belize River Challenge title on Saturday, winning Stage 2 from Banana Bank to Double Head Cabbage in an unofficial 5:56:01. Their arrival at 12:26 pm gave them back‑to‑back stage victories and a widening overall lead.
One minute later, at 12:27 pm, the riverbank erupted as Riverside Boys (Toucan Solutions) — Henner Cruz, Efrain Cruz, and Brian Cruz — Ranza River Cruisers — Daniel Cruz Sr., Francisca Cruz Pfaender, and Daniel Cruz Jr. — and Black Orchid Resort — Carlos Linares, Brandon Lind, and Jesus Linares — stormed into the finish side by side in a dramatic three‑way sprint. Riverside Boys edged ahead to take second, Ranza River Cruisers claimed third, and Black Orchid Resort, who had led earlier in the stage, were overtaken in the final metres and forced to settle for fourth.
Koop Sheet Metal — Alfred Lopez, Allen Lopez, and Byron Cruz — finished fifth, followed by the first C2 team, River Blazer Bros — Javier Guardado and Andres Cabb Jr. — in sixth. Lucas Oil Family, Team Brothers, Lucas Oil Mixed, and Napoles completed the top ten.

PACT ON TRAK ON THE BRINK OF A VICTORY LOCK
Day 3, the Burrell Boom to Belize City stage, is traditionally the fastest and most tactical of the race. With a lead of 6 minutes 28 seconds, PACT on TRAK are in the drivers’s seat. If they consolidate that advantage today:
- They will enter Monday’s final sprint to Belcan Bridge with a virtually unassailable lead.
- Only a major mishap could threaten their overall position.
- Their consistency, clean steering, and power over long distances make them the clear favourites.
The closest battle now sits behind them. Black Orchid Resort and Riverside Boys are separated by just three seconds, while Ranza River Cruisers remain within striking distance for a podium finish. The fight for second through fourth is shaping up to be one of the tightest in recent years.
