Prime Minister Honourable Dickon Mitchell will travel to Toronto, Canada, to participate in a series of activities commemorating the 18th Grenada Day Festival.
This annual celebration brings together the Grenadian diaspora to honour the nation’s culture, heritage, and community spirit. While in Canada, the Prime Minister will also engage in several key meetings and engagements with the Grenadian diaspora in Canada.
Following his visit to Canada, Prime Minister Mitchell will then proceed to Barbados to attend Carifesta on 31 August, Caricom’s regional festival celebrating Caribbean arts and culture.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to return to Grenada on Monday, 1 September.
Hon. Dennis Cornwall, Minister for Finance, will act as Prime Minister in the absence of Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell.
