On Wednesday, Princess Margaret School and the titleholder Antigua Grammar School were in great form as they snapped up clinical victories over their opponents in the Under 14 division. PMS ran riot against ASSS, cruising to a comprehensive 4-0 victory as Gerol Pryce opened the scoring in the 17th minute before Marcus Thomas doubled the advantage eight minutes later. Kiron Cordice made it three just past the half-hour mark, and Alan Henry completed the rout three minutes before the break.
Another match saw Jenning Secondary School edge Ottos Comprehensive School 1-0 in a tightly contested affair, with Elreekk Francois providing the decisive moment five minutes into the second half.
In similar fashion, St. Joseph’s Academy held on for a narrow 1-0 win over St. Mary’s Secondary School, thanks to Jaariq Roberts‘ 30th-minute strike that proved to be the difference between the sides.
AGS made light work of Clare Hall Secondary School to claim a 3-1 triumph. Johnathan Duberry got AGS off to a flying start in the 10th minute, and T’andre James extended the lead midway through the first half. CHSS pulled one back through Tevon Henderson in the 37th minute, but Sachin Richards restored the two-goal cushion early in the second half to seal the points. The scheduled fixture between SNRA and PSS did not take place.
In Under 20 football action Harrison Centre Antigua and Barbuda School of Continuing Education (HCABSCE) secured a 3-1 victory over the Irene B Williams School in an end-to-end contest. Kayonzae Gifford broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute, and Adoniyah Dyett doubled the advantage just before the hour mark. Karick Richards appeared to put the game to bed in the 69th minute, but Tejhano Cochrane struck immediately after to give IBWS a consolation goal and keep the scoreline respectable.
