PRESS RELEASE
St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda — Wednesday, May 14, 2025
The Police Administration is concerned about the increasing number of vehicle thefts reported in recent times.
This criminal act not only threatens public safety but also highlights the importance of motorists adopting safer security practices. Investigations have also revealed that in several instances, vehicles were left unattended with engines running, a practice that the police continuously discourage among drivers.
Motorists are therefore urged to take the following precautions to further minimize the risk of vehicle theft:
Ensure that you switch off your engine and remove the keys from the ignition when exiting your vehicle.
Ensure all doors and windows are securely locked.
