A FRANTIC hunt has been launched for a woman who has been missing for six days.
Stephanie Bauld, 34, vanished on Sunday from the Coronation Place area of Gartcosh, Lanarkshire.
Police are urging anyone with information to get in touch as the search continues.
Sergeant Stephen McBride said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Stephanie’s welfare and are appealing to anyone who may have seen her or knows of her whereabouts to come forward.”
The missing woman is described as white, around 5ft 6ins, of slim build, with long dark brown hair.
Stephanie has tattoos on both arms, including a distinctive skull design on her right forearm.
It is unclear what she was wearing on the day she went missing.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Officers are appealing for the public’s assistance to trace a 34-year-old woman missing from Gartcosh.
“Stephanie Bauld was last seen around 2am on Sunday, 23 March, in the Coronation Place area of the village and was reported missing to officers on Friday, 28 March.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
Elsewhere a body has been found in a wooded area during the frantic search for a missing man who disappeared from a Scots town.
Andrew Hodge was last seen at around 1.15pm on Wednesday, March 26 in the Main Street area of Cardenden, Fife.
Officers were concerned for the 61-year-old’s welfare and asked the public to help trace him.
Sadly, a body was found in a wooded area near Bowhill View in the town at 8.30am this morning.
The person is still to be formally identified but Andrew’s family have been informed.
Officers believe there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
