Police requested public assistance in the search for a missing 8-year-old boy, Elijah Downs, described as “a vulnerable member of the community”.
Elijah was last seen leaving his home in Newlands around 3:40pm on Wednesday, 2 April, police said.
“Elijah was last seen wearing a dark grey shirt, dark blue shorts and black shoes. He is of solid build with short dark hair, and of light brown complexion,” police said in a press release.
Elijah is known to visit the Windsor Park area.
A Royal Cayman Islands Police Service helicopter has been deployed in the search for Elijah. Members of the community who see Elijah should contact 911 immediately.
