Cayman police were silent on Thursday over the progress of its investigation into the grim discovery of a dead woman in a burning car two weeks ago.
The service was asked a string of questions about the mystery fatality, including whether they had established a cause of death and if there had been any arrests in connection with the incident.
By press time, no response had been received.
Police said a week ago that they awaited reports from pathologists and fire service investigators and appealed for witnesses.
The body of Judiann Myles, who was 47, was found on the afternoon of Thursday, 3 April after reports of a white Honda CR-V ablaze on open ground in the Lookout Gardens area of Bodden Town.
Myles was head of the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority’s anti-money laundering unit.
Police said a week ago they had reviewed hundreds of hours of CCTV footage and interviewed “witnesses and associates” and that forensic and fire scene examinations had been carried out.
The service said they had also “executed digital and financial enquiries”.
