Politics should be for the people, not the politicians

For far too long in the Cayman Islands, politics has looked more like a business deal than a public service.

Contracts. Favours. Clandestine meetings in private rooms. Campaigns funded by big donors who want to control politicians. The result? Decisions made to protect personal interests—not public ones.

We know it. You know it. Principled Caymanians know it. And we are all tired of it. Enough is Enough.

The Caymanian Community Party was formed to take a different approach to politics—one built on values, openness, and community-centred leadership. We believe public office is not a stepping stone to power or a path to personal benefit—it’s a duty to serve the people of the Cayman Islands with humility, justness and purpose.

We’re not here to play the game. We’re here to change it.

When candidates are pawns for special interests, the people always lose.

We’ve watched critical decisions about laws, policies, infrastructure projects, and how to spend public funds made behind closed doors, with little input from the people they affect most. We’ve seen special favours go out to the connected, while ordinary Caymanians struggle to get a fair shot. And we’ve seen public trust in government sink lower and lower.

That’s not politics—it’s self-interest. And it’s not leadership, it’s abuse.

We’re a team of public servants, parents, professionals, and everyday Caymanians who believe politics can—and should—be better. Here’s how:

  • We reject big money influence. The Caymanian Community Party is not funded by special interests. We answer only to the people.
  • We support open government. No more side deals. Transparency is not optional—it’s foundational.
  • We represent Cayman. Our candidates include both women and men, younger voices and seasoned leaders, from all walks of life—because representation matters.
  • We balance experience with fresh energy. Our team includes former ministers and sitting MPs with deep international, legal, and diplomatic experience—ready to lead the country on day one—alongside new candidates grounded in community service and real-world solutions.
  • We put all Caymanians first. Whether you were born here or earned the right to call Cayman home, we believe every Caymanian deserves to be heard, respected, and included in shaping our future.

This is a different approach to politics—one that puts service before self and country before connections.

If we want better outcomes, we need people with high standards and shared priorities to form the Government.

That’s why our candidates stepped forward—not to climb the political ladder, but to stand up for their communities. They’re not looking for power. They’re answering a call to serve.

The Caymanian Community Party is proud to offer a balanced team of women and men, youth and experience, all united by a common purpose: to break loose from the grasps that special interests have on government, restore impartiality in government decision making, create opportunities that benefit the many rather than the few, and to tackle our wicked problems at root.

Do we want more of the same politics-as-usual? More overspending and more debt, more favours for friends.

Or do we want a different approach—principled, prudent leadership that puts all Caymanians first?

Enough is enough. It’s time for a new era of politics.

This election you cannot afford to make a mistake. Vote TCCP for a stronger, fairer Cayman that works for all Caymanians.

THIS IS A PAID POLITICAL ANNOUNCEMENT.
