SigniaGlobe Financial BCA took full advantage of excellent bowling conditions at the Lester Vaughan playing field to dismiss the ESA Field Pickwick team for 62 runs on day 1 of the third series of games in the 2025 Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) Elite Division three-day championship on Saturday.

Pickwick fielded a team which included West Indies Women’s Captain Hayley Matthews, but this wasn’t enough to overcome the pace attack of a vibrant BCA Youth squad.
Pacers Jakeem Pollard and Damani Roach shared nine wickets to dismiss the Pickwick team for 62 runs in 25 overs at Cane Garden.
Pollard ended with 5 wickets for 19 runs, which included the wicket of Matthews, bowled for 2. Opening fast bowling partner Roach grabbed 4 for 32 as both bowlers sent down 10 overs each.
In reply, the Youth team secured first innings points when they ended the day’s play on 158 for 9 in 36 overs.

Nimar Bolden scored 59 as Wildey scored 287 against Windward.
In an early season top of the table clash, Wildey batted the majority of the day to score 287 all out against Sagicor Windward at the Lucas Street ground in St Phillip.
Opening batters Shanaldo Taylor (38) and Shane Parris (48) shared in a 90-run stand for the first wicket as Wildey took the early advantage after being sent into bat first.
Left arm spinner Chad Williams made the breakthrough during the middle of the innings for Windward, but Nimar Bolden (59) and Kyle Sargeant (46) were able to form another important partnership of 85 runs for the fourth wicket to give Wildey the upper hand.
Williams finished with figures of 5 for 76 from 19 overs while preventing Wildey of gaining maximum batting points after being bowled out under 300 runs.
Windward are 16 without loss in 12 overs, batting patiently for the remainder of the evening heading into Sunday’s day two.

Kemar Smith grabbed 6 wickets for YMPC vs Yorkshire at Beckles Road.
Over at Beckles Road, Brothers Kemar and Dwayne Smith also shared nine wickets between them as Bayview Hospital YMPC bowled out IGS Insurance Brokers Yorkshire for 209 in 47 overs.
Kemar led the way with figures of 6 for 66 while Dwayne picked up 3 for 56. Shakeel Richards top scored for Yorkshire with a run-a-ball 69.
YMPC made a strong start to their reply with Captain Jadan Jones scoring 34 in their total of 66 for 1 after 11 overs.
